Spill Party is a roll n’ write party experience. You can chill and spill for an entire night and make some amazing memories. However, as the party progresses, you will spill more often. Spilling makes you forget memories and points while preventing you from making new memories. In the physical version, you flick water at paper to do this, but in the virtual build it is done with dice rolls. The party is yours, so experience everything you can!!!
My contributions
Wrote gameplay instructions and cheat sheets
To help players remember rules I added some cheat sheets that were placed in the game environment. I also wrote more thorough instructions that players could read detailing all of the little nuances of the game.
Made game art and title art in Illustrator
I made most of my art using Adobe Illustrator. Some examples include the game cover image, in-game tokens (vomit & spills), and all of the game dice.

Learned how to use a new software, Tabletopia
I had to quickly learn how to use Tabletopia for this project which involved figuring out their dice texture system, game creation software, and optimizing assets so that it runs smoothly in browsers.

Converted a board game into a virtual setting
To do this I had to brainstorm new design ideas while keeping the original concept. I wanted to keep the idea of spilling on a grid of memories. For this I had to create a new board and think of an interesting way of handling spills. I chose to have the amount of spills be determined by a spill dice and the location of the spill decided by a d8 (A-H roll) and a 2d6 (2-12 roll). The 2-12 roll brings some skill into the game because more spills will be centered around the middle of the board.
Designed a points system
Balanced how the player gains points from various items based on their probability of being hit with spills and vomits. A 1 space token is more likely to be spilled on than a 2x2 token to be spilled on twice. With this logic a one space token is riskier and should be worth more points. I also designed the board with location specific modifiers. Since the center of the board will get most of the spills and vomits I made it worth more points.
